Benjamin Moore High Performance, HP1320 Universal Metal Primer is a high-performance, one-component, quick-dry, rust-inhibitive metal primer, formulated for use on ferrous metal substrates. The phenolic alkyd resin formulation allows for a wide variety of intermediate and finish coats. The quick dry and recoat times allow for fast turnaround of production work. Additionally, this product may be used as a tie coat over existing coatings that will be finished with a high performance coating. Not recommended for non-ferrous metals such as galvanized, aluminum or for use in immersion service. May be applied to new or properly prepared rusted surfaces.

Surface Preparation: All grease, oil, dirt, mildew, or any other surface contaminants must be removed using HP6000 Oil & Grease Emulsifier or SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning.
Coverage: 350-450 Sq. Ft., Wet film thickness 3.6 - 4.6 mils depending on surface texture and porosity.
Dry Time: To Touch in 30 minutes, To Recoat in 4 hours, at 77°F and 50% relative humidity.
Clean-Up: All equipment and painting tools with HP7030 or Xylene after use.
